Working with homeless people around Melbourne to help them gain both short and long term housing. Build and sustain empowering relationships with people who are suffering from inequality. My role is to work with and advocate on behalf of people who find themselves marginalized and in positions that is through no fault of their own. Identifying common issues that effect people who find themselves homeless and work together with these to bring about lasting and substainable change. Provide support and group supervision for myself and my peers.Liaise with government body's around policies that directly effect homeless people around Melbourne and give input that will help these policies be more equal for the people that will be most effected. Source and identify approiate accommodation that will be suitable and cater for people who might have complex issues.

Youth diversion project, the NICKOL project works with some of the most disadvantaged young people in dublins north inner city.My role was plan and facilitate programmes with young people that would help them develop both individually and collectively. Our programmes would range from personal development to critical social development. We work with young people to help build self esteem and awareness, also to empower them to take control of the direction of their lives, with a view to them challenging the inequality that they suffer in their day to day lives. Our overall aim is to work hand in hand with the community to bring about positive social change through empowerment and collective action.
