About Jonathan Downes

Through my career I have had the opportunity to work on projects across Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Qatar and South East Asia. Having had experience across a wide range of project typologies, (Commercial, Life Sciences, Venues, Public Realm and critical infrastructure) and as a result a wide range of personalities too! I enjoy leading design teams to achieve a successful result for our clients and project partners but also to create lasting relationships within the industry.The opportunity that Mott MacDonald brings is a fresh approach to market that attracted me to join in 2023, while forever grateful for the teaching, learnings and growth that Aurecon and the team there provided, I am looking forward to growing further in a new environment.
