This job involved various software development tasks with a government client. The main role was web development. I was the sole developer and maintainer for 2 websites used by my team. The websites used python on the backend and JQuery, AngularJS, Flask, and more on the frontend. The websites used MySQL, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch for data storage and retrieval.My other roles included system monitoring, software automation, and network switch setup and maintaince. I set up a tool called Zabbix across hundreds of machines to monitor and correct certain metrics. For system automation, I mainly used python. I worked on Brocade network switches.

The website would allow a user to input any image and would take that image and try to find the exact location that image was taken in the world. Our team used techniques such as metadata analysis and optical character recognition (OCR) to read words in the image.
