I worked as a freelance copywriter for the Swedish chemicals company Polygiene, which provides a range of technologies to sportswear and fashion brands. The Leonard Curtis Rugby Finance Report 2024 was published in September and generated significant media coverage in The Guardian, The Independent and SportBusiness among others.As Lead Author, I managed and led the report’s production. This role involved:• Creating the concept, content plan and production schedule.• Researching and writing the bulk of the report.• Building a team of two co-authors and eight expert panellists. The co-authors produced data and analysis for the report, and the expert panellists provided guidance and insight during the drafting and production stages.• Editing content provided by expert contributors and former rugby professionals, including a foreword written by ex-player James Haskell.• Working closely with a graphic designer on layout, proofing and final production.• Moderating a panel discussion during the launch event of the report which examined its key findings.• Supporting the PR strategy promoting the report including interviews with national media. -
