Although I took relevant computer science courses while in college, I'd already been doing paid freelance web development work prior to that, so am a largely self-taught developer with a foundation in web development dating back to high school, where I began building websites from scratch in the early 2000s. My recent work has focused on modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React (including React Native for cross-platform applications), with additional experience in Vue andAngular for frontend development. On the backend, I bring proficiency in Node.js,PHP, .NET, and other server-side technologies.I'm a fast learner, confident in my ability to quickly pick up new languages, frameworks, and libraries. I've worked on diverse projects involving various stacks, which includes Vue and Angular on the frontend outside of React, many different types of databases, hosting platforms, and countless libraries. Through my experience with startups and smaller companies, I've gained solid DevOps skills, often saving clients money by handling this myself vs. them having to hire a dedicated DevOps Engineer. I prefer projects committed to ethics in whatever their goals are. I want technological advancement to respect user privacy, democratize knowledge, and prioritize individual autonomy. Outside of tech work, I'm involved in art and have had my work featured in a handful of shows. Music also has been a lifelong hobby, since my grandma taught me piano when I was a little kid. In my free time, I definitely value getting out in nature to ground myself and balance things out after spending a good chunk of my days in front of screens. Finally, I'm very open to collaboration in both development work and in art, so feel free to reach out if you have any ideas where that's concerned - I've been part of some great collaborations in the past.
