Although I took relevant computer science courses while in college, I'd already been doing paid freelance web development work prior to that, so am a largely self-taught developer with a foundation in web development dating back to high school, where I began building websites from scratch in the early 2000s. My recent work has focused on modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React (including React Native for cross-platform applications), with additional experience in Vue andAngular for frontend development. On the backend, I bring proficiency in Node.js,PHP, .NET, and other server-side technologies.I'm a fast learner, confident in my ability to quickly pick up new languages, frameworks, and libraries. I've worked on diverse projects involving various stacks, which includes Vue and Angular on the frontend outside of React, many different types of databases, hosting platforms, and countless libraries. Through my experience with startups and smaller companies, I've gained solid DevOps skills, often saving clients money by handling this myself vs. them having to hire a dedicated DevOps Engineer. I prefer projects committed to ethics in whatever their goals are. I want technological advancement to respect user privacy, democratize knowledge, and prioritize individual autonomy. Outside of tech work, I'm involved in art and have had my work featured in a handful of shows. Music also has been a lifelong hobby, since my grandma taught me piano when I was a little kid. In my free time, I definitely value getting out in nature to ground myself and balance things out after spending a good chunk of my days in front of screens. Finally, I'm very open to collaboration in both development work and in art, so feel free to reach out if you have any ideas where that's concerned - I've been part of some great collaborations in the past.

Their pioneering feature is the "memory stack," which allows users to craft and refine AI versions using their personal content, reflections, writings, and most importantly, individual memories, ahead of the pack. Here's some snapshots of the work I've done there:• Made sure I aligned our platform's styling, components, and modals using our award-winning in-house designer's detailed Figma projects, referencing specific guidelines and workflows.• Was tasked with prioritizing accessibility within both the web and mobile apps, as our founder has also won awards for his commitment to helping those with disabilities get just as much value from the internet and technology as a whole as the rest of us, which was especially crucial when dealing with our language model-based AI interfaces, tailored for each user.• Collaborated closely with our backend team and the technical founder, engaging in daily standups and contributing to the quick rollout of vital features, often requested on short notice by investing (or potential) VCs.• I consistently provided itemized Start Of Day (SOD) and End Of Day (EOD) reports to keep the team apprised of my work, while also keeping tabs on team priorities for my own work. • Cursory experience/work with TensorFlow and PyTorch, in order to acclamate myself to those machine-learning technologies, and better understand the technical founder's work/research.• This is just the tip of the iceberg. If you have more questions, I'll try to answer (without violating my NDA, of course). Show less -

My work included:* In-depth engagement with AWS services like S3 buckets, EC2 instances, Lambda, and load balancing. This ensured a smooth flow of user data to my distinctively crafted frontend, which combined the aesthetics of (altered/customized) Feather Icons with IBM's excellent Carbon Design System (CDS).* Implementing an XML-centric, intricate file-tree system for organizing and accessing patient scans.* Instituting a robust and secure user authentication mechanism utilizing JWT (JSON Web Tokens). This ensured that user data remained confidential while maintaining a seamless login experience, reinforcing both user trust and platform integrity. It also utilized (AES)-256 encryption protocols to ensure HIPAA compliance. * Developing and deploying an intuitive file folder/file-tree user interface that streamlined access to vital patient data and scans. This was meticulously crafted using React libraries such as react-dnd for drag-and-drop functionality and react-treebeard for its customizable and responsive tree-view components.* Was tasked with taking charge of the full design of the portal, in lieu of any in-house designer and based on what they saw as the strength of my portfolio pieces. Here are some highlights related to building skills in my web/software development work:Shortly after high school, I created my first in-depth, full stack project: a fully functional website for my mom's handcrafted jewelry, clothing, and accessories business. Using Adobe Flash and ActionScript, I crafted eye-catching visuals, a completely from scratch, custom UI, and integrated PayPal as a secure payment processor with the best security protocols that existed (at the time in ~2007). This project led me to land various freelance opportunities, including:* Creating a custom photography portfolio website for an artist who collaborated with Alec Soth, which used a highly customized gallery library, etc., all before React, Vue, and Angular existed. * Multiple websites for local artists. * I also gained knowledge and exposure to Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and design concepts by talking about dev work with the in-house web, web design and design teams. My work at the Walker itself included: * Starting out as a Gallery Monitor (providing friendly, unarmed art security and directions)* Moved within a year to becoming Security center staff, managing the secure entrance for staff, artists, and celebrities.* Back-up Mailroom supervisor, responsible for sorting and delivering mail, making daily bank deposits of large amounts of cash, ordering supplies for all offices, etc., whenever needed, retaining complex information/procedures, sometimes even after months without filling in, then hopping in for a month.* Finished my time out there in Events, overseeing the setup, maintenance, and takedowns for events that could be as large as involving 10,000+ attendees, like Rock the Garden and the Cat Film Festival.
