Following my experiences as writer in the world of music press, I founded Speed of Sound, a site dedicated to music, cinema and culture articles. I developed the site myself, which launched in April 2016. Seeking new professional challenges, I undertook the role of deputy editor at Pro Global Media where I was responsible for writing, sub-editing, editing, and laying out large portions of the company’s two commercial magazines: Global Cement, and Global Gypsum. Middle Boop Mag was an online music site that ran from 2008-2015 and was developed by established Epsom- and London-based illustrator Gordon Reid (also known as Middle Boop). As Live Music Editor, my achievements included:• Overseeing the growth of the Middle Boop Mag’s live music content production from two articles per month to over 20 per month;• Managing over 50 contributors and ensuring content adhered to editorial style of the site;• Securing press tickets for over 50 exclusive shows via close network of PR contacts;• Interviewing high pro le musicians in the indie-rock scene.

Following my passion for broadcasting, I launched a self-initiated series of music podcasts. As the sole creator, I was responsible for:• Presenting a weekly series of 30 podcasts showcasing new music;• Creating a unique, quirky brand to appeal to a millennial target audience; • Using social media to promote artists and reach listeners.

Woman’s Hour is one of BBC Radio 4’s most successful radio shows with over 4m listeners. I was invited to take part in a month-long internship as a Production Runner on the show, during which time my achievements included:• Producing an item for the show entitled ‘The Changing Face of Gender’ for Woman’s Hour;• Liaising with high-pro le guests, including Ezra Furman, Joley Richardson, Dianne Abbott, Zanny Minton Beddoes, Jeremy Corbyn & Iris Apfel;• Contributing towards the production of other BBC Radio 4 shows including The Media Show, and Outlook (BBC World Service).

Following my degree, I helped the University of the Creative Arts in Epsom rejuvenate their Student Union. CSRfm is a radio station jointly managed by University of Kent and University of Canterbury students. As Station Manager while completing my studies, my achievements included:• Being elected to the position unanimously by the student membership;• Sitting on the Canterbury Youth and Student Media (CYSM) board ofexecutives;• Leading and managing 280+ members, including students from twouniversities, as well as community members;• Leading the station to the opening of a state-of-the-art media centre;• Leading a team of 30 volunteers at the Lounge on The Farm Festival 2013for a weekend-long outside broadcast.
