While working with the Items and Offers Platform team, my project is to create a tool that allows other engineers to more efficiently manage contracts with other teams at Amazon. I started this project from scratch, researching the various internal tools at Amazon and designing the architecture for my web service. I also, worked with my mentor to carefully plan out my day by day effort so that by the end of my internship I will have a working product that customers can use and a well documented service that can be added to by future interns and employees.The project involves full stack development, with a Spring MVC based front-end service, a workflow engine, and a RESTful back-end service. During the internship, I am gaining familiarity with the software development cycle and agile programming methods, from sprint planning to writing unit tests. By the end of the year, I plan to be comfortable developing software that can easily be modified and utilized by other engineers.

While working at Pindel Global Precision, I had two main goals. The first was to help the company transition to a new ERP management system. For this project, I spent a lot of effort to map out the table structures of the old ERP system and the new one. Doing so allowed me to write a series of SQL append queries to copy the companies data into the new database structure. Injecting this data allowed the company to retain all information when transitioning to the new system. Additionally, I worked to help the companies CEO understand the benefits AI would have in his business. This involved a lot of research into the different AI implementations and was greatly assisted by the blogs and open-sourced tools published by OpenAI and other companies. I also purchased a new company computer, which I setup to use NVIDIA's CUDA platform. This allowed me to download Google's Deepmind AI and train in to play Atari games on the GPU. Lastly, I spent some time towards the end of the summer working with light-field cameras in an attempt to create depth field maps.
