Jonathan serves as legal counsel to Angi, Inc. and its subsidiaries, including Handy Technologies, Inc.Previously, Jonathan was an associate in the Dispute Resolution practice of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, a juriste in the International Arbitration Group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and an associate in the Litigation Group of Goodmans LLP, where he focused on commercial litigation, cross-border disputes and appellate advocacy. He is admitted as an attorney in California, New York and Ontario.Jonathan has acted in the joint US-Canada trial in Re: Nortel Networks Corp., the RBS Rights Issue litigation before the UK High Court, the Supreme Court of Canada appeal in securities class action Green v. CIBC, and several international arbitral proceedings. He has conducted filings with every level of court in Canada, including the Supreme Court of Canada and Ontario Court of Appeal, and appeared as counsel before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, Commercial List and Small Claims Court.While attending law school, Jonathan was Editor in Chief of the Dalhousie Journal of Legal Studies and received numerous awards for academic excellence. He was assistant to a Canada Research Chair and co-authored a chapter in International Law and Politics of the Arctic Ocean, published by Brill.Jonathan speaks French, Russian and Mandarin and has graduate degrees from Queen's University and the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he is currently pursuing his LLM.
