I have twenty years’ experience representing clients in a broad range of corporate, financial and commercial matters. This includes significant M&A experience - advising on a number of UK focussed, and cross-border, company/asset acquisitions, sales and joint-ventures. I look to build long-term relationships with clients, and often act in an external general counsel role - advising on a range of day-to-day corporate/commercial matters and where necessary coordinating small teams of appropriate experts to handle specific client needs.I have advised many start-ups and SMEs on their initial structuring, pre-seed, seed and angel investment rounds, strategic bolt-on acquisitions and general commercial contract matters. I have also advised on AIM market IPOs, stake-building, Takeover Code recommended offers, and on-going corporate governance and compliance obligations under the AIM rules.I have advised many businesses on data compliance matters, including internal policies and procedures and affecting legal mechanisms to enable cross-boarder data transfers, with a particular focus on the UK's changing compliance landscape following Brexit.I am a member of Transparency International UK and have advised corporate groups looking to implement best practices in complying with the increasing body of corporate transparency and anti-bribery legislation.I am actively involved in providing pro-bono assistance to those in the charitable and non-for-profit sectors, acting as Honorary Legal Counsel to a number of organisations.
