The role of the PPM is to manage and coordinate the procurement efforts between engineering, procurement, construction and start up. The PPM is responsible for executing the procurement strategy developed for the project and ensuring that the implementation of our standard procurement processes meet or exceed the safety, quality and schedule requirements of the project. The PPM manages all procurement costs against the budget(s) set forth at the onset of the project. The overall priority and driving principle of the PPM role and standard processes is the schedule. Success for the PPM is ultimately defined as getting the right equipment and services to the project on time while preserving the projects interests, risk profile, and cost endeavors. State of the art technology, best procurement practices, and modern material management techniques compliment the project objectives and provide long-term customer support. Major responsibilities include:• Establish and maintain the project Procurement Plan and Division of Responsibility matrix• Establish and maintain the project procurement status reports• Establish and maintain the project master commercial documents• Coordinate supplier/subcontractor pre-qualifications • Monitor procurement staffing • Monitor preparation and issuance of Requests For Proposal (RFPs), bid tabulations, bid conditioning, evaluation, award recommendations, award approvals, contract issuance, supplier performance monitoring and change management processes• Monitor Expediting, Logistics, and Material Management functionsThis procurement plan establishes actions, responsibilities, and specific critical areas requiring detailed attention including:• Providing organizational structure and responsibilities for procurement execution• Identification of critical equipment and materials• Providing supplier/subcontractor selection criteria• Establishing a Supply Optimization plan• Drawings and Submittals supplied to the Owner
