Led a 15-member development team to enhance our company's role as a key contributor to the prplOS open-source working group, evolving OpenWRT into a carrier-grade platform.The company initiated a new product that required the formation of a dedicated team, and I was chosen to lead it. Initially, the team was small, but it needed to expand rapidly. I managed the hiring of new members and ensured they were onboarded quickly and efficiently. I worked diligently to transform this group into a cohesive, independent team requiring minimal oversight. This process included coaching team members to take on more senior roles and fostering their development in both technical and interpersonal skills.Through these efforts, I established the team’s identity within the company, and it is now recognized as a high-performing, technically expert group. We have observed that most team members are satisfied with their roles, and external consultants are eager to join the company as permanent employees due to their strong connection with the team. Led the development of a project focused on gathering information about connected devices to the router, such as phones, and accurately identifying each device without causing any disruption. Key responsibilities included:-Utilizing various packet inspection tools for device identification written in C on an embedded Linux device- Establishing the router's connection with a cloud platform- Developing and deploying a Python-based cloud platform using tools like Ansible, Docker, MongoDB, etc.- Analyzing data and establishing relationships through machine learning models- Implementing web scraping techniques to retrieve additional information and integrating it into the model for comprehensiveEngaged in diverse network-related initiatives, including:- Implementing an MQTT client within our proprietary firmware using the Mosquitto library written in C on an embedded device.- Creating a USB tethering-based backup WAN connectivity plugin- Developing automated pairing solutions for WiFi repeaters- Diagnosing and resolving critical issues at customer sites
