As of July 2018, I am now a self-employed gardener, trading under the name 'Your Gardener'.Alongside work, I am studying, at BCA college, the RHS level 2 practical and principles courses, where I hope to obtain a diploma.Previously, I worked in retail for over 20 years:An experienced retail manager, with over 15 years spent at one of the biggest food retailers in the UK Sainsburys.Targeted through various KPI's, I understand the balance required to achieve the overall goal of SAP (store accountable profit), whilst maintaining a high level of customer service.Over the years I have run many departments that have ranged from having 5 to 80 direct reports, which responsibilities including supporting running the store, deputising the store in the absence of senior management, recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, great communication, target setting, and many others.These are the departments I have run:BakeryCheckoutsDry GoodsFresh FoodsGroceries OnlineNight ShiftProduceI have also been a small store deputy manager in the Thame store.Over the years I have worked in eight different stores, so am comfortable with merging into new teams.
