People have told me for many years now that I would work well in a business environment, especially anything that related to computers and technology. Based on this advice I began a course in Information Processing in 2008 and finished with a FETAC Level 5 Major Award. It was only when I began working as a volunteer for Oxfam Ireland back in 2010 that I realised how interested I am in how an organisation runs.In 2011 I moved to Galway and worked in Dunnes Stores, furthering my retail experience and learning how to work in a busy environment. It was during the Christmas period, so there were a lot of last minute shoppers to help and a large influx of stock.Returning to education in 2012, I started a FETAC Level 5 course in Liberal Arts. It introduced me to many different areas of study including economics, social studies, psychology and English literature. I worked on many different projects and enjoyed the challenge of presentations, researching, and compiling reports. I completed the course in May 2013 and obtained 8 distinctions.As for the future, I'm excited at the prospect of developing my career and improving myself personally as well as professionally.
