Over the years, I have built a reputation as a communications professional and consultant, working with dozens of non-profits, charities, and small businesses. A few areas of specialty include copywriting and editing, creating engaging newsletters, building a strong social media presence, preparing communications pieces for C-level executives, designing and executing digital ads, building brand strategies, writing advertisement scripts, and producing promotional / commercial videos.

• Crafted digital/print copy and designs for six Habitat ReStores, the online store, and the Society.• Conducted interviews with partner families for internal and external marketing.• Managed two social media brands (ReStore and Society) and launched a newTikTok channel, gaining over 2 million account views in six months.• Created several digital marketing advertisements.• Organized and led several important fundraising events, build days and volunteeropportunities.• Responsible for the company Mailchimp account and managed multiple lists,including a monthly newsletter with an average open rate of 45%.

As a seasoned professional in alumni engagement with over five years experience, I worked closely with the Vice President of Alumni and Families on building the university's alumni and family engagement, communications, and development strategies. A few of my primary responsibilities included: • Producing and maintaining two monthly newsletters, one for alumni and one for parents of current students, both with engagement and open rates exceeding industry standards. • Interviewing alumni and producing written and video content for news stories, web, and printed materials. This often required travel to cities around North America. • Managing social media channels for alumni and for university parents, doubling the Instagram follower count in one year and significantly increasing engagement on all channels.• Coordinating with the events team to plan and organize alumni and parent events, both locally and around North America. • Working closely with the Vice President of Development on content and strategy for engaging alumni donors.• Re-engaging alumni through connecting intentionally in one-on-one meetings, resulting in the creation of a thriving Alumni Ambassador program.• Managing and mentoring a team of two-three individuals.

I was hired to run the Communications division of the newly launched Marketing Department at Quest University, reporting to the CEO of Higher Education. My role included: • Working on the team that designed a new logo and launched a refreshed brand for the university, focused on creating a stronger international presence. This included collaboration with the Quest Executive team, designers, and focus groups. I was also responsible for scripting and producing two promotional videos highlighting the new brand and introducing the university to new audiences through digital marketing.• Managing all internal and external communications within the university, ranging from email, social media, website, digital ads, print materials, press releases, and video production. • Building unique communications plans for each department on campus. • Launching a new social media strategy and overseeing it's development.• Networking with the Squamish First Nations and creating new initiatives for collaboration.• Supporting Admissions in developing recruiting strategies.

During a season of uncertainty surrounding COVID, I was promoted and tasked with creating a mission and vision for the newly formed alumni engagement office and was responsible for leading and executing the development of alumni strategy to ensure the sustainability of a healthy, thriving network. In this role, I reported directly to the President and accomplished the following: • Crafted a new mission and vision statement, as well as supporting documents. • Launched 10K Coffees, a Networking and Mentorship program.• Created and hosted three seasons of an alumni podcast, where I interviewed alumni from the university.• Collaborated with multiple Vice-President's throughout the University in supporting their departments where alumni relations were concerned. • Worked with the Marketing and Communications department on branding the new alumni department and crafting a new webpage.• Engaged alumni through new online events and networking opportunities.• Managed alumni volunteers on a series of projects, including social media, email, web, video production, and events.

In this role, I was responsible for many management tasks in the alumni office, throughout the University, and within the diverse international community. • Directly managed student workers and volunteers.• Produced eight videos for signature gala events and several vision videos,with budgets of over $10,000 on multiple projects.• Successfully launched several digital marketing campaigns with a subscribed audience of over 18,000 people.• Managed and successfully grew the alumni social media accounts.• Developed a blog “The Alumni Spotlight” by sourcing content, interviewing alumni, then writing / editing articles that featured global industry leaders.• Provided oversight in the development and execution of a new Alumni Mentorship Program in 2018, which launched with 220 participants across 5 continents.• Worked alongside the Marketing and Communications team in coming upwith ideas and creating digital content.

I have worked with the directors at Parafauna on many independent and commercial film projects as a creative producer and a writer.

Managed and maintained the website and social media profiles for a construction company on a short contract in order to help build out their social media strategy.

As a staff reporter and columnist for the Daily News, I was responsible for writing articles, promoting sales, and contributing photography for the website. I also produced and ran an online weekly video news segment that recapped significant local events.

Working as an intern at the renown Canadian gallery, Fehr had the opportunity to give detailed tours, work with children in an educational environment, teach art classes and utilize SMART technology, and assist the director in his vision for the gallery.
