Administers a rigorous audit and surveillance program directly contributingto maintaining the highest standards of excellence. Personally responsible for approving/closing all repairs on nuclearsystems/components prior to ship's underway operations.· Quickly improved the ship's Quality Assurance program by establishing a qualification program for all personnel conducting maintenance.· Skillfully maintained the ship's Quality Assurance program ensuring the administration, execution, and retest of over 60 controlled maintenance items were performed safely and correctly during most recent maintenance period.· Enhanced the ship's Quality Assurance audit and surveillance program by establishing additional attribute guidelines responsible for identifying program deficiencies.

Hand picked to assist in the management of a 60 person department. Directly responsible for the safe and efficient operation of apressurized water nuclear reactor plant and its engine room. Intimately involved with training the entire department.· Led the department to two above average Operational Reactor Safeguards Examinations.· Directly contributed to the ship's improved day to day performance at most recent Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination.· Identified systemic problems by meticulously scheduling and tracking the completion of over 220 evolutions and audits, while also focusing training topics and additional monitors to correct the areas of concern.

Managed a 12 person division responsible for all auxiliary systems including hydraulic power plants, compressed air generation andstorage, atmospheric controls and all damage control equipment onboard.· Expertly led the division through two arduous maintenance periods completing numerous repairs on high energy and vital systems.· Restored the ship's Emergency Diesel Generator qualification process by revamping the Diesel Operator qualification card. This improved the Emergency Diesel Generator's administrative grade of average to above average during most recent Operational Reactor Safeguards Examination.
