I conducted research under Drs. Christa Kiersch and Nicole Gullekson in the field of organizational behavior and leadership (management). Many projects were worked upon for this position, which include the following:I was able to help develop and moderate an on-campus panel discussion during UW-L's Social Justice Week titled, "Reducing Bias and Promoting Diversity in Recruitment and Hiring."Previously collected data were analyzed concerning the impact of authentic leadership on organizational learning and retention outcomes. This project was presented in poster format at the 2017 Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology (SIOP) conference held in Orlando in April 2017. I had the opportunity to analyze data from a leadership program held on-campus, create a formal report regarding these results, and present this report to a formal group at the university. These results will be used in the future to continue the program, and alter it accordingly.My partners and I worked on creating a leadership program on-campus called United with Leadership (UWL). This inclusive program will be available for all students to participate in with the intent of better preparing students for school and their future careers in regards to leadership. This project has collected and analyzed data from chosen focus groups of student organizations and other groups that openly display leadership qualities. Data are currently being analyzed to set a platform for what the leadership program will entail. This program is still in the progress of being developed even after I left.

The study investigated the effects of one's goal-orientation on mood variability in regards to achievement (or lack thereof) in sport. A grant for $1,745 was competed for and awarded in April 2015. This project was accepted by and presented at both the 2016 National Council on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) conference at the University of North Carolina at Asheville in April 2016 as well as the 2016 Midwest Psychological Association (MPA) conference held in Chicago in May 2016.This project was also accepted and published in the 2016 NCUR Proceedings journal; a link to the article is attached.
