I am a data scientist who specializes in understanding the light properties of objects. Trained as a PhD astrophysicist, my research has involved analyzing imaging data from numerous sources and then modeling the light properties of objects present in the imaging data to gain physical insights about naturally occurring processes. Throughout my research I have developed and applied numerous computational, statistical, and machine learning techniques to tackle complex problems, including bootstrapping techniques, clustering algorithms, convolutional neural networks (CNNs), random forests, and multivariate tests for equal distributions. I currently work for a small medical startup and am involved in all aspects of the company’s development, although I particularly specialize in analyzing and modeling imaging data as well as improving the efficiency of the data analysis and modeling pipelines.
