Handle variety of complex claims up to and including death claims, structured settlements, and Medicare set aside claims. Multiple take-nothing orders. Attend mandatory settlement conferences, status conferences and trials; conduct depositions of injured workers, doctors, and witnesses; work with adjusters to evaluate and negotiate settlements of claims and liens; subpoena and review records. Draft and file answers, applications, petitions for reconsideration, answers to petitions for reconsideration, trial briefs, and petitions to compel attendance at depositions, enforce subpoenas, suspend benefits and dismiss claims for lack of prosecution, among others.
