University Gastroenterology is a single specialty Gastroenterology group comprised of 25 Gastroenterologists, 20 Anesthetists, 2 Pathologists and 13 Advanced Practice Providers operating and owning 4 free standing endoscopy centers in Providence, East Greenwich, and Portsmouth, Pathology Lab, Infusion Center, Research facility and providing inpatient consultative services at Rhode Island Hospital, Miriam Hospital, Kent County Hospital, Newport Hospital, and Roger Williams Hospital.Oversee operations of all campuses encompassing an administrative staff of over 100 employees and 6 direct reports covering 4 campuses including a pathology lab, anesthesia group, infusion center, research and radiology. We increased revenue by 15% by creating and developing an anesthesia department and infusion center, expanding pathology services, implementing radiology services, building a new operatory, and improving revenue management operations.We improved and solidified relations with the local primary care practices in the state to manage the health of the population of Rhode Island in conjunction with Blue Cross & Blue Shield resulting in a reduction of inpatient and emergency visits and expanding preventative services and education.

Anesthesia practice in Long Island, New York comprised of 25 anesthetists and support staff of 18 people including nurses and administrative personnel.• Oversaw all operations and financial management of private anesthesia practice generating over $11 million in revenue, operating several facilities.• Revamped organizational structure, initiated performance appraisal system and employee incentive programs resulting in a 27% increase in revenue. • Launched new office-based anesthesia practice generating $400,000 profit in first two years.• Administered pension and profit sharing plan of approximately $5 million• Conducted workshops for physicians and employees on communication skills, motivational management and team development at affiliated facilities.
