Srd Ce Visual Merchandiser : Non Food
Using knowledge and experiences which have been gained working within the UK division to drive a positive change. My current role involves working with the Buying, Marketing & Project teams to improve the customer experience and increase sales for Tesco. I currently cover the electrical area within non food for all UK and ROI stores. I liaise across multiple teams with a variety of different goals to plan and deliver new equipment and product layouts for stores By reviewing the shopping experience and the customer journey throughout the shop we are able to strategically position key offers & items. Using POS displays and shelving heights for key lines we can help to increase sales of an item and it’s accessories. This can entice people to browse an isle that they may not have otherwise visited. We also vary the density of stock throughout the category to give different parts of the store a different customer experience.For example in DIY we may fit as many fixtures & fittings as closely together as possible to fit as many items as possible in the given space; In contract, for tablets & laptops we have tabletop displays with lots of space and a more expensive set of fixtures for a high end look and feel. I am constantly looking how we can develop and display the area to beat our competitors on sales and build customer loyaltyKey Achievements:Working closely with the DIY category we reduced the maximum store space by more than 50%, with an impact of only -1% of sales.
