About Jonathan Parra
In the year 2015 I first heard about the field of engineering. Curious, I researched and found that this was a world from which my heart had always belonged to. Around 2016 I began my studies at San Bernardino Valley College. I found myself taking no more than three courses or less a semester since I was juggling both a demanding full-time job and school. Eventually I would go on to graduate with my Associate of Science in Physics and transfer to California state University, Long Beach majoring in Civil Engineering.In between 2016 and now, I have found myself in multiple new positions and experiences. Although the positions differ greatly, I have always put in the efforts to earn key leadership roles. I enjoy mentoring and coaching my colleagues and helping them identify their strengths while nurturing any weaknesses. It is my strong belief that there is no better way to grow as an individual than to help other grow first.As I continue my education at California state University, Long Beach I plan to continue with the same mindset. In the hopes that my time here will bring forth a new wave of opportunities and experiences. And through these opportunities and experiences attain a civil engineering job as a structural engineer so I can finally afford the dog of my dreams... a Corgi.
