Assisted Professor Erica Dobbs in her research of healthcare policy in border regions with an eye toward the prospect of binational cooperation in healthcare coverage and infrastructural development. The scope of my research within the project focused on the Texas-Mexico border region. My output Included a cultural and historical background of the region's relationship to healthcare and bi-national community, a stakeholder analysis on relevant parties and a summarization on past attempts of bi-national legislation for the development of available healthcare resources. I was granted the great opportunity of showcasing the unique beauty of my home region while also highlighting just how beneficial a more supported relationship with the parts of our community on the other side of the Rio Grande could be for all residents.
