Travelled aboard both backpacking and volunteering through South and Central America. The experience was focused on exploring Latin America’s cultures, landscapes and people while pursuing my passion for fly fishing and the outdoors.

Management and planning of all project tasks required to complete the manufacturing of a batch of vehicles for foreign clients. A large part of the planning completed involved managing the complexities around manufacturing a portion of the vehicles in a foreign country’s facility. Project planning completed comprised of; manufacturing process plans, testing activities, cash flow predictions, supply chain management, kitting and shipping, as well as, in country manufacturing support and logistics. As a Project Engineer, I gained experience with project contracting during numerous visits and multinational discussions with foreign contractors.

Completed the industrialisation of the Mbombe 6 prototype vehicle to a manufacturing level. My role was focused around interfacing with the vehicle design team to mature the prototype engineering data pack to optimize the production process. This included designing and refining the manufacturing workflow to produce the vehicle using expanding resources and production capability. During the industrialisation process, I was involved in designing specialised fixtures and tooling, managing the implementation of project specific PLM tools, creating and implanting factory floor plans, and assisting with vehicle factory acceptance tests.

Practical work experience involving an investigation to determine the flow distribution through a conceptual design of a novel alkaline electrolyser.

Practical work experience involving an investigative study into the extended discharge times evident on the SABMiller Alrode Brewery Spent Grain Discharge system.

Part-time practical work experience at a bulk materials milling plant.
