From 2001–2007, Chief Medical Officer at Point Biomedical, a development-stage biopharmaceutical company through filing an NDA. Formerly a key opinion leader with international reputation in the field of microsphere drug development, and general CV drug development, consulted extensively for top pharma and biotechnology including at the FDA cardiorenal advisory panel. Parallel career as volunteer academic cardiologist with 20 years service as Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine, UCSF, Staff Cardiologist at San Francisco Veterans Administration Medical Center and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, UK.Trained in medicine at the University of London, and completed post graduate training in cardiology in London and San Francisco, and received executive MBA at Columbia University/University California, Berkeley joint program. I have current medical licenses and cardiology board certification n the US and UK am also a professional pilot holding FAA Airline Transport Pilot certification and Jet ratings.
