About Jonathan Gorham
I’m an AEMCA-certified Fanshawe College Paramedic program graduate and experienced Forest Firefighter and Rescue Technician who was born in London, Ontario. From a young age, I have constantly strived to be a life-long learner and to expand my knowledge and life experiences while improving my skill sets. I embarked on this journey by completing the Firefighting program at Lambton College between September 2011 and December 2013, finishing at the top of my class. Having completed the fire program at Lambton, I worked for 4 years to gain valuable life experience before starting the Paramedic program in 2017. While working for Voyageur Patient Transfer Services and Phoenix Safety & Rescue, I gained valuable knowledge and experience in leadership, team work, patient care, and emergency response. These experiences allowed me to develop the skills I had acquired while completing the Firefighting program at Lambton College. I was also able to further my problem solving and critical thinking abilities in emergency situations and strengthen my team work and communication skills. My career as a Forest Firefighter with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources has given me the opportunity to further hone my skills as a first responder, sharpening my decision making and leadership abilities.Furthermore, I believe that I am a highly trained emergency responder with a diversified set of skills and life experiences.
