In 2014 Jon Graham (Sydney, Australia) and Lorri Yasenik (Calgary, Canada) began collaborating on models of practice that work across whole family systems; treating families and especially children as participants in the renegotiation of families and family relationships rather than objects of the parent's relationship breakdown. As collaborative partners, they began offering a unique approach to raising the voice of children in family law processes drawing not only on the concepts from attachment theory and child development, but also from strategies for scaffolding parents who easily lose the capacity to regulate their own behaviours in negotiations with their ex partner.The approaches have formed part of a collaborative venture, taking training to Australia, and North America.
