Chief Engineer at SMD responsible for Work Class ROV systems and now platform technology across the group. I led the design and development of SMD’s range of Remotely Operated Vehicles including Atom, Quasar and Quantum. More recently I have been focusing on developing next generation propulsion and control technology as well as improving technical governance of engineering systems.Technical challenges motivate me at work and at home, so being able to lead a high performing team to deliver a class leading solution to a high technology product is always a privilege.Together with the rest of the ROV team we have built the business, since taking over Hydrovision in 2004, to be one of the 3 largest independent manufacturers in the world - 150 systems delivered to date.
