Uttoxeter

On a casual basis work at the racecourse on race days and events including Christmas, with responsibility for leading a small team, cash and stock reconciliation and ensuring the guests have a memorable day at the races.

Worked on an interim basis at Twycross Zoo to support them through the latter part of the season with a responsibility for the guest experience at the zoo, admissions, guest recovery where necessary.

Stoke-On-Trent, United Kingdom

Role was a multi-sited role at the Sainsburys Distribution Centres at Stoke on Trent and Stone. I was responsible for the day to day management of 30 officers across the sites ensuring the security of the sites as well as supporting the management teams in ensuring maximisation of the sites profitability, this was through the management of operational processes, reviewing H+S incidents that could have cost implications as well as brand reputation.

Alton Towers Resort

Responsible for the day to day management of 50+ colleagues who deliver the most exceptional experiences to our guests at the resort. With a focus on Health and Safety, Customer Service, Training and Budget Controls. "It is the most unique environment I have worked in, where individuals work together to deliver memorable experiences, who support and develop each other from across the resort."

A new environmental product to this country that allowed the processing of Organic Waste to Compost on site.

Stoke On Trent

• Part of the management team which increased store takings from £420,000 to £720,000 per week over 36 months by focusing on customer service, colleague development, product availability and implementing new operating procedures that the company has introduced. • Achieved store performance of 2nd of the region (15 stores), 7th on the zone (95 stores) and 10th on the company (500+ stores). Achieved Mystery Customer Score of 82.2% and Customer Availability score for products of 96.8%. Achieved this through managing a scorecard process comprising 12 KPI's, reviewed 4 weekly as part of our performance management agenda. • Provided daily coaching of colleagues to support their development and to identify new talent which resulted in our staff morale score increasing from 76% to 86%. • Was responsible for the performance of 3rd party contractors achieving their targets and continually improving upon their SLA's, these included Carillion (FM), Eurest (Colleague restaurant), Reliance (Security) and Compass (Contract cleaning). This was achieved through measurement of their performance, constant review in order to assist consistent improvement. • Was responsible for the implementation of new company policies and processes as part of a challenging business transformation process. This included the health and safety, fire safety and food safety with associated risk assessments of the site. This resulted in a green status on our Licence to Trade Audit. • Personally sat on the Stoke Development Group (City Council) that met and formulated strategies for improving the City of Stoke. We are the only retailer to participate. Ensured significant participation and support of the scheme as part of the store's commitment to its 24,000+ customers and 350+ colleagues.

Various Locations.

Over the years I worked my way through 13 stores in a variety of roles that gave me a firm grounding culminating in my final 3 years at Stoke on Trent. These roles included new store openings, store refurbishments and projects including the launch of scanning tills in Sainsburys in the UK whilst at Loughborough and Licence To Unload Procedures that eventually went company wide delivering accurate inventory into stores..
