Evolving Minds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that aims to create equality in access to mental health care resources. Part of my job as the Fundraising and Campus Development Intern was to reach out to community members and build a grassroots following. To do this, my responsibilities at Evolving Minds included:- Creating social media calendars for various platforms that engaged our target audiences to create mutually beneficial relationships with our followers- Designing digital marketing campaigns that tailored to potential clients to inform them of our products, services, and the value our organization would create- Creating daily content for our feeds using relevant mental health topics that resonated within our target market- Analyzing social media analytics to discover trends and the rationalism behind them, allowing us to more accurately target our customer outreach and marketing campaigns

Students Helping Honduras (SHH) is a national nonprofit organization created to help the children of Honduras create a better life for themselves and their communities. Our sustainable approach is that we give a hand up, not a hand out. We did this by building schools in rural Honduran neighborhoods with the help of the communities. Doing so, our hope was to give these children access to an education they might otherwise not receive. In the previous two years I held my position, I helped our chapter reach our yearly fundraising goal of $30,000 twice. One of the larger accomplishments we had while in my position was organizing and creating a Giving Day social media campaign. In just 24 hours, I was able to raise $4,758 with the help of our general body members. It turned to be the largest single-day fundraiser in our chapter's history. And of course, I couldn't have done any of the work without any of the other passionate members and dedicated executive board that surrounded me. Without them, none of it would've been possible.As one of SHH @ UMD's fundraising chairs, my duties were to:- Organize and plan national chapter events, galas, and benefit concerts- Create marketing campaigns for various chapter fundraising initiatives- Assist in community outreach to spread awareness for SHH as an organization- Develop relationships with local businesses and restaurants

Starting in 2017, I began working for DRD as a head lifeguard. From that point, I returned each summer and worked my way up to become the Manager of Watermont Swim Club. As the Manager, I worked with my 21 employees to create a safe and welcoming community environment. My responsibilities as the Manager at Watermont Swim Club included:- Scheduled employees and prepared performance reviews- Trained employees in conflict resolution to help navigate difficult situations- Facilitated communication between club members and the Board of Directors- Directed and oversaw all maintenance records, health records, and incident reports for all pools

I worked as a student intern for Tracy Turner, the executive director of the Maryland Center for Entrepreneurship (MCE). Using Sales Force and through research, it was my job to identify and analyze local technology startups that would have interest in joining the Tech Incubator that the MCE was beginning to build.

As a senior in high school, I was voted as the intermediary between Howard County Recreation and Parks and all Howard County Public School System students. This position gave me a solid foundation into how local governments work for their constituents and the challenging processes regarding community development.
