I currently work as an IT Architect and Consultant at Munich Innovation Labs, a IT service-provider which leverages AI for security and law enforcement. I'm passionate about the topics of security, the Cloud, DevOps, and anything to do with the backend infrastructure management of large technical systems. I wrote my Ph.D. thesis on the history of Greek mathematics, but also taught widely on the ethics and social dimension of emerging technologies. It was at this time that I became more interested in the topics of data privacy, IT security, and the cloud.I apply passion and creativity to everything that I do and am continuously driven to find effective solutions and create value through a combination of rigorous analytical thinking and effective practical implementation. I speak 3 languages fluently - English as native speaker, German (C1/2), and Norwegian (B1/2) - and have immersed myself in 3 countries. When time allows, I play the piano (esp. classical and jazz), do sports (esp. running, football, and some yoga) and train my 6-month old puppy (an Australian shepherd/labrador mix) with my girlfriend.Alongside my full-time job, I have run my own academic proofreading and translation service, Asterisk Proofreading (www.asterisk-proofreading.com) for 8 years, going back to my time as a Master‘s student. Besides offering one-on-one support for academic writing projects, I deliver workshops for professional researchers from all subject areas on how to manage and write research projects effectively. I especially emphasise the role that different softwares and AI assistants can play in the research process.
