Security CDE on the Oculus Security Engineering & Oculus Enterprise teams. Delivered manufacturing unlock and firmware signing services for Oculus Rift S. Rotated through security on-call, managing security incidents to Oculus web properties and associated Facebook services. Partnered with Facebook and Oculus Legal to improve automation of security incidence response to reduce burden on engineering team. Led threat model reviews of new product features. Managed security patch ingestion of Linux and supporting board support packages for various Oculus products.

I was a Research Engineer at NICTA, who co-sponsored my PhD. During this time, I conducted a feasibility study of the application of Wireless Mesh Networks to public safety scenarios, including compiling customer survey and reports, and performed comparisons and testing of various commercial wireless mesh devices. I also developed a routing metric and protocol for a robust multi-hop wireless mesh network on a range of platforms from desktop Linux PCs to low-profile router boards. I implemented the metric in C and C++ on battery-powered multi-radio router boards for testing and evaluation, resulting in multiple academic publications being published.

I was a teaching assistant for multiple subjects while working on my PhD. This involved mentoring students in the lab, creating and grading assignment projects, running tutorials in a classroom environment, and presenting lectures. Interned within the Data Modelling Group, part of Microsoft Codename 'Oslo'. Preliminary delivery was an application of research domain knowledge (Wireless Mesh Networks) to M, which was presented at mid-term review. Main deliverable for internship was the design and implementation of the UML Use Case in M, along with a demonstration of loading instances into the model. Finally, gained an appreciation of the roles and responsibilities of a Program Manager at Microsoft, along with their relationships to other Engineering disciplines.

I held the position of Research Assistant within the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering. I worked on the DART project in the Division of Data and Knowledge Engineering Research. As part of this work, I re-engineered collaborative video annotation system (Vannotea) using the .NET platform in C#. This system allows for collaborative annotation of videos in real-time, including recording and playback of the session. I also developed web-based photo library with annotation features on a LAMP stack. This project was a web-based repository for indigenous photos for repatriation.

I was employed by Citect as a Junior Engineer and was involved in the specification, implementation, testing and deployment of the Human Machine Interface for the BHP Mitsubishi Alliance Crinum East Mine on the outskirts of Emerald in Queensland.
