Creating a high-throughput method to analyze macro- and microstructure of 3D bio-printed cardiac tissue, produced using lab-on-a-printer (LOP) technology. I was responsible for design and implementation of a custom image analysis algorithm for assessment of printed tissue, in order to quantify maturation and physiological properties at both a tissue and sub-cellular level. Investigating the clinical use of microbubble contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) in the intraoperative and post-treatment surveillance of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients receiving ablative therapies, as well as in the surveillance of at-risk patients in conjunction with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Additionally, working to describe geographical growth tendencies of post-ablative tumour recurrences and de novo HCC, and their imaging characteristics as opposed to metastatic diseases and benign lesions.
