Led a team of ~60 exceptional scientists and engineers designing, inventing and developing downstream processes to purify biopharmaceuticals. Team activities encompassed bioinformatics, automation, High Throughput Process Development and Analytics, scale-up to pilot- and GMP-scale Manufacturing.

Chromatography Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the R&D Downstream Processing Operations management team. The role involves functional, operational and technical responsibility for chromatography-related aspects within R&D including customer project technical support and consultation, high-throughput scale-down to bench to pilot-scale chromatography applications and continuous lean improvement and standardisation within approaches to DSP operational management. I also participate in chromatography- related risk assessments to support ongoing cGMP manufacturing programmes. My role encompasses direct and indirect line management responsibility for 15 scientists within the DSP Operations department and I also contribute to the R&D Innovation Initiatives relating to my subject area across the business.

Senior Scientist in the Biopharmaceuticals R&D division in Portsmouth, UK (2008) focusing on the development of new chromatography resins for bioprocessing. I subsequently relocated to the Pall Corporation global headquarters in Port Washington, NY, working in a technical role in the newly-formed Centre of Applied Material Sciences, Corporate Research Division, focusing on next generation bioprocess technologies (2009-2012).

Avecia (now part of Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies) is a CMO involved in the development and manufacture of therapeutic biologics (produced by recombinant technologies) to cGMP standards.
