He routinely represents various Fortune 500 companies and startups in preparing and prosecuting domestic and international patent applications. His practice focuses on the full life cycle of patents, which includes identifying patentable subject matter for clients, preparing patent applications, and performing prosecution procedures. Example prosecution procedures regularly performed by Jon include drafting appeals, RCE’s, and responses to Office actions, performing notice of allowance reviews including providing recommendations for continuing applications, and interviewing examiners throughout the process. Jon also has experience prosecuting trademark applications. Prior to attending law school, Jon was a software developer for a multinational computer technology company. Jon leverages this industry experience, in conjunction with his technical training in computer science and mathematics, to effectively draft patent applications for clients. His experience extends to a wide range of computer technologies, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, optimization, smart home environments, autonomous vehicles, internet technologies, productivity applications, virtualization, and memory devices, among others.Admitted in California, Texas, and USPTO.
