Providing the Business Leaders with timely, accurate and relevant information, to drive the business to be more profitable, successful and efficient. Extracting large volumes of data in relation to consultants, clients, candidates, markets, territories, brands, employee ranks, and transforming these into useful reports, I provide the business with the tools they require to make improved business decisions.

Reporting to the group finance director and responsible for reporting on UK, France, Germany, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Singapore. This role was created specifically for me to use my expertise to the company’s advantage, by taking me away from the monthly management accounts cycle I could focus on developing reports which would add commercial value to the company to measure performance using various systems. Reports which have been developed include fleet utilisation, customer trends, product trends, supplier analysis, depot profitability, budget support analysis, capital request support and analysis. I was also part of the team picked to spec’ a new computer system which meant travelling to France, Germany, Holland and Poland to liaise with business and finance heads to ensure all requirements were covered, findings had to be presented to the Group General Manager in the USA. I have also added to my responsibilities the role of Group Financial Accountant, which includes ensuring all reporting entities in the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Spain, Poland and Singapore meet their reporting deadlines, comply with group policies, consolidating monthly management accounts and forecasts, cash flow analysis, variance reporting etc. This means there are over 15 employees indirectly reporting to me.

Responsibilities and duties:Reporting to the Group Finance Director and responsible for a Management Accountant and Assistance Management Accountant. The role involves: Preparation and reporting 4/5 weekly period management accounts for 50 commercial depots and cost centres, Reviewing profit and loss accounts and reporting to senior directors, Preparation and reporting key performance indicators, Preparation of forecasts, Preparation of annual budgets, Stock-takes, Liaising with depots to improve profitability, Cost reduction exercises and prepare Statutory Accounts and Audit Pack. The role also includes full fixed asset reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations and I regularly meet with Board members and senior directors to review the company’s performance.Promoted from Commercial Accountant October 2005

I moved just before redundancies were announced when an opportunity arose at my current employer.

Grove is one of the world’s largest manufacturer of mobile cranes and is the world leader in the manufacture of man-lifting equipment.Responsibilities and duties:Reporting to Cost Accountant and Financial Controller, Responsible for cost and management accounting on major projects, Project Accounting for multi-million Ministry of Defence refurbishment programme, Profitability analysis for all projects, Costing exercises to enable decision making on contracting out work, Preparation of stock report, Finished goods stock-take, Preparation of standard costs for customer-spec equipment, Stock-take reconciliation.Reason for leaving: Project came to an end and there we no other projects in the company, the manufacturing division was also closing and many redundancies followed shortly after I had left.

Northeast Press Limited –employing over 600 across the Northeast. Helena Laboratories – employing over 40 in the Northeast. Helena is owned by Helena Corporation in Texas and produces blood diagnostic kits and electrophoresis equipment for hospitals and universities. Used in Pathology and Haematology departments, the kits detect blood disorders. Responsibilities and duties:Reporting to Financial Controller, Production and sales forecasts to ensure product availability, Sales analysis by product and country, Preparation of Queen’s Award for Export Achievement, Export documentation, Aiding in setting up new branches in Holland and Belgium, Interstat statistical returns, Stock control and material usage analysis, Credit control, Maintenance of fixed asset register and calculation of depreciation.Reason for leaving: Career progression
