IST Power was formed back in 2006, after the successful merger of International Transformers and the STL group, consisting of Stewart Transformers and Transtech Transformers. As the original trade names, our business dates back to 1935.IST Power is a renowned specialist transformer manufacturer engaged in the design, engineering, manufacture and supply of a wide range of transformers, reactors and other wound components from 1kVA to 1MVA power rating. Primary voltage is up to 66kV for three phase and 300kVA for single phase.As a complete solution provider, we develop ideas from concept through all evolving stages of development to full product realisation. We utilise a range of tools to support the evaluation of a concept design, from computational fluid dynamics software to thermal, structural and electrostatic studies, all of which help validate our solutions. Fully engineered drawings, process instructions and specifications are generated using Autodesk 3D Inventor and Autocad LT software packages.We supply solutions to a diverse range of markets and applications throughout the world.Our core markets are Utilities, Railways, Freight, Silicon Chip, Defence, Renewables, Battery Storage and Medical.I relocated to Manchester in May 2007, as part of the merger plans and I'm responsible for all aspects of Commercial management and business development.

Stewart Transformers was acquired in 1991 and the Company has an established and respected reputation for design and manufacture of transformers and chokes dating back to 1944. The Company provides designed solutions for Railways, Shipbuilding, Defence, Utility, Industrial, Oil & Gas and silicon chip industries. I had dual responsibility for materials and commercial management.

Controlled all planning requirements to achieve customer commitments, generating master schedules, work schedules, material management and procurement activities.Senate Manufacturing was created to support the Picker International installed base of X-Ray products in the UK and abroad. GE Medical Systems obtained a licence to supply Picker International X-Ray products and spares within the UK market. Senate Manufacturing was formed as the manufacturing facility to support GE Medical Systems requirements.

Part of a product transition team (6 members) tasked with transferring production of a mobile X-Ray unit from the UK to Germany within 5 months. The scope covered supply chain integration, materials management, logistics and production planning to ensure smooth production transfer to meet customer expectations within UK and export markets.

Generating Master production schedules, detailed manufacturing plans and workload schedules. Preparing purchase gross buys, order schedules, issuing factory internal works orders and managing change control requests. Control and monitoring of the production plans for MRI and X-Ray products.

Generation of manufacturing schedules, compilation of gross buys, change control and coordination of all key functions to meet supply of MRI and X-Ray equipment on time.

A commercial apprenticeship working in Sales, Purchasing & Production Planning. Picker International designed, developed and manufactured a wide range of products including Magnetic Resonance systems (MRI) and advanced digital X-Ray equipment. Picker International employed over 6000 people with manufacturing and service facilities throughout the world.
