Clark Construction Inc. is General Contractor for residential and commercial building. I am currently working on the jobsite of the North Kitsap Service Center in Poulsbo, which consists of two main buildings, a hazardous waste facility and a road operations facility. As the Senior Project Engineer, I have been using my experience to help guide the project's two junior Project Engineers. With the project just now getting started, I help with writing scopes of work, finding and comparing subcontractors and pricing for buyout, and reviewing and processing submittals and RFI's.

Bellevue, Washington, United States

Buchan Homes is a 65+ year old custom home builder that is now more focused on the market in the Bellevue, WA area. They averaged about 10 high-end homes per year anywhere between 3K SF to 7K SF, with some homes selling for over $10 million. The types of projects vary between client custom, infill (or spec home), and remodels. Custom homes are the main focus, but they have featured several larger infill homes, the most recent selling for around $10 million. Currently working on a new "idea house" for 425 Magazine. As an Estimator, I handled pricing and coordination with subcontractors, making sure estimates and purchase orders are accurate before releasing them for the project initialization, as well as ordering materials for jobsites.

Greater Seattle Area

Compass Construction is a General Contractor in the Seattle area building mainly podium style mixed-use apartment buildings. As a Project Engineer, I arrived on my first project with Compass in the middle of the concrete phase of construction on the now largest building in Auburn, WA. This 226-unit building is now complete and is a mark of the city's desire to improve the overall quality of the area.

Orem, Utah

Edge Homes is the fastest growing home builder in Utah. Buyers can choose from around 60 customizable single family floor plans to fit their needs, and we have several townhome and condo communities currently under construction. As an Estimator, I am in charge of calculating the amount of materials and costs associated with each home. This includes doing material takeoffs, sending out purchase orders and change orders, keeping budgets up to date, and coordinating with the builders in the field, subcontractors, salesmen, and designers.

San Jose, California

Western National Contractors is the main General Contractor for the Irvine Company, owner of several resorts, apartment complexes, homes, office buildings, and retail properties located throughout California. The focus that WNC has with Irvine is in managing the construction of its multi-billion-dollar luxury-style apartment complexes. Despite the current setbacks in the economy, more recently, the two partners have been working together to expand their horizons to include Northern California, centering itself in the bay area. I worked as a Project Engineer on three buildings, the largest being Crescent Village - a five-building community, home to nearly 400 families per building.

• Project involved the major remodel of computer chip fabrication cleanroom at Intel plant.• Supported project managers and superintendents in creating and handling contracts between Skanska and the owner, architects, and subcontractors.• Created and processed submittals, RFIs, and change orders for several project teams using Prolog, InSite, and Bluebeam.• Tracked change orders and submittals for several project teams.

Sacramento, California Area

• Supervised and assisted professional builders and handymen in up to 10 projects at a time.• Participated in the planning phase and submitted bids and billings for every project.• Monitored income and expenses as projects advanced.• Attended networking meetings as a member of BNI (Business Networking International) as a method of obtaining referrals.• Installed insulation, drywall, trim, and baseboards, painted walls, and participated in the construction and/or repair processes in all projects.

Rexburg, Idaho

• Participated in the major remodel of Madison High School in Rexburg, ID. Project included redesign of classrooms, office spaces, workshops, and the theater. • Supervised and assisted up to 10 laborers in tasks such as pouring footings, demolition, and building walls.
