Roles included:- Risk management via futures hedging for some 200,000 69kg bags of arabica coffee purchased each year directly from farmers;- Responsibility for the quality control and timely delivery of this coffee to the export/dry mill;- Oversight of the company’s sustainability certification initiatives which involved working with over 2,000 farmers to help improve their yields and develop long-term, economically and environmentally sustainable practices.
