Silent-Aire Manufacturing Computer Room Air Conditioning units (CRAC) and Modular Data Centers (MDC) are deployed in support of the largest Cloud Providers and sophisticated data center facilities around the globe. Our capabilities in designing, engineering, and manufacturing innovative solutions have earned us the trust of enterprise level edge data center owners and operators who support the cloud. In direct support of our MDC customers, built and lead Silent-Aire’s field mechanical and electrical engineering team and construction management program. The modular team drove the end-to-end deployment of over 100MW of MDC campuses across more than 10 states. The team solve the complex problems of being in front of the industry leading technology, to continually push the envelope of waste in efficiency (PUE/WUE), time to market, and capital/operational costs. Built a cross disciplined parts, start-up, and service team that includes controls, electricians, and mechanical/refrigeration technicians. Silent-Aire sets the industry standard in development of the latest modular data center technologies with designs that meet the challenges of our hyper-scale data center customers. Our modular deployments solve many of our customer’s problems such as: reducing time to market, lowering introductory capital costs into new markets, low cost and rapid scalability, off-setting need to build server rooms in high-cost real estate (e.g. hospitals don’t have to give up operating rooms), building in remote areas of the country to support edge telecommunication networks and many others. Our modular data centers exceed industry efficiency standards by use of free-air-cooling. Our physical security meets the stringent requirements ICD-705 (Intelligence Community Directive) for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facilities (SCIF).

Developed the framework that became the Global Data Center Engineering/Construction team responsible for rapid green-field and brown-field construction of new data centers within Amazon Web Services. The team was also responsible for retrofitting amazon's legacy retail data centers to meet the high-reliability standards demanded by AWS customers. This was done without impact to the customer. Continually developed and challenged the engineering team to drive ongoing improvements in order to deliver the highest quality, lowest cost and most technically efficient data centers in the world. Developed a team that was always in the forefront in the creation of new products that maintained the focus of delivering the most innovative products to amazon's customers.

Project manage the design and implementation of 10 to 20 rack (MDF) data rooms across the US, Japan, Germany, France and Scotland regions while meeting the company initiative of “driving the capital costs to the floor.” This included design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment world-wide. Awarded the “Door Desk” award for the design and deployment of two(2) quick deploy data rooms which were built in retrofitted 53’ dry vans. This solution was launched in new distribution warehouses in Ohio and Arizona allowing the IT team to build their tools weeks before access was granted to the new facilities.

Design and build equipment to carry out chemical processes for industrial manufacturing. Determine the most effective arrangement of unit operations. Performed tests and took measurements throughout the stages of production to determine the degree of control over critical variables involved in the manufacturing process

Design, build and implement Right-Sized machines to be used in single piece flow operations. Using Shingijutsu training, teach and implement Toyota System/Lean Manufacturing concepts and goals through 3-P and kaizen events. Responsible and personally performed each step which involved welding, design and building hydraulic and electrical control circuitry, operator interface systems, safety systems and machine documentation. Each was introduced into production cells; which involved training, operation layout and procedure documentation. Headed a team, which was responsible for in-sourcing and fabricating major weldments for Genie’s RT Scissors and S-80 product lines.

Responsible for producing high quality low cost flexible polyurethane foam for automotive seating in a just-in-time (JIT) operation. On-line champion for new product development. Monitor and analyze problems using statistical data and other techniques to identify and implement corrective actions. Provide technical support and training to manufacturing locations. Introduced and implement new chemical technology to the North American and Mexican plants. Manage capital installations. Researched and developed new products and technology and implemented into the plants. Reducing cost due to scrap, rework and cost of raw materials.
