Jonathan provides leadership and vision for the development of the business and individuals within it. As an architect, his role is to serve the client, to understand what they want and to deliver to exceed their expectations by exploring, enthusiastically the options that are available. He loves the challenge of new opportunities, being a creative designer, a scientist with an interest in construction materials and techniques, as well as how things are programmed and managed. He looks forward to creating places and spaces which people will enjoy using. He thrives on undertaking a variety of tasks and continuing to listen and learn. He enjoys winning work, generating ideas and then guiding and steering projects with talented teams through to completion. He wants to make the most of every opportunity and generate work that will stand the test of time.Jonathan’s specific areas of capability and experience include: Masterplanning, Regeneration, Business Space, Residential, Education (University) and Public Sector Work, including Defence Projects. He has been instrumental and successful in diversifying the work of the Practice and has initiated designs and been responsible for delivering projects for many developers as well as a number PFI clients. He continues to have a ‘hands on’ involvement in small through to very large projects in excess of £1.5 billion. In his role as Chairman of Scott Brownrigg, he is interested in providing leadership that is founded on trust, integrity and respect and which provides opportunities and encourages others to fulfil their potential. He seeks to ensure the Practice retains its DNA and continues to evolve through the development of talent to ensure it is sustainable. He is also interested in promoting the highest quality design and service and actively participates in the regular Practice wide Design Reviews. Hobbies: Cycling, sketching, photography, walking, classical music.
