Senior Engineer @T&D DepartmentResponsible for the proposal, design, improvement, solving issues & implementation of solutions for high-tech capital equipment & its accessories for clean room environment.Core activities:- collaborate with boh internal & external customers mainly on sustaining projects as follows: a) plan & implementation of EOL replacement parts/assemblies b) solve technical issue faced by production or from customer's equipment. Plan & execute design changes (ECN) to implement the solutions. c) evaluate improvement projects or proposals & implement the upgrade or improvement through design changes (ECN) - To provide technical consultation & support for production or quality issues from both internal & external customers- In the event of qualification of the propose solutions: a) conduct 3D modeling simulation &/or technical calculation b) Plan & create test plan according to the specification defined. Execute test, conduct report & evaluate results.- Design & upgrade existing & new tooling, which is used to support & qualify existing production equipment & its processes.Other activities:- 3D modeling & simulation support- Drawing regeneration - from old 2D autocad drawings to 3D CAD models with updated drawings & documentations.- Provide basic packaging proposal for clean room product & equipment- support & collaborate in high level technical proposal for new project proposals or solutions- technical consultation & support for existing or new tooling, jigs & fixture improvements

Design Engineer• Attended 3 months technical & on the job training to perform the role of Design Engineer in Singapore.• Supporting the sales team in Singapore in providing Oil Mist Detector (OMD) both new &/or Retrofit installation proposal for customer review & quotation purpose.• Provide detail design blue print of the OMD installation (To Meet the Criteria set by the International Association of Classification Societies, IACS) & manufacturing of the assemblies & accessories.• Collaborate with the Germany R&D department for new product installation & field testing for the APAC region. • Perform onsite survey & installation of new products for field testing & retrofits • Design & make prototype parts for the collaboration field testing projects or other projects in the APAC region as per customer’s requirement.• Taking up multiple roles in the company; Quality assurance role: Checking incoming parts & material, solving & reporting quality issues of our products to Germany & customers. Safety representative & Risk Assessment champion for the Singapore office. Company facilities & IT coordinator with external vendor.

Mechanical Engineer• Attended a total of 3 months training with the design & assembly of the Vertical Furnace. To support the transfer of the equipment, the Vertical Furnace for both 200/300mm Wafer, to be built & assembled in Singapore.• Create & customized specifications & BOMs for the production & assembly of Vertical Furnace depending on customer’s requirement.• Design & customized modular design per customer’s requirements like the Wafer feeder system requirement or wafer cartridge requirement.• Perform Engineering changes & solve quality issues from both in-house assembly lines, fabrication factory & external vendors.• Key-user & administrator for Pro/E Cad software.DFM Senior Mechanical Engineer• Newly form section, 6 men team & leading the mechanical team, to support the 3 R&D design centers from Netherlands, USA & Japan.• Conduct weekly tele-conference & periodic Face to Face meeting with the R&D stake holders to discuss the DFM projects targets, status & progress.• Standardization of purchase parts (both mechanical & electrical parts like bearings, linear guides, terminal block & wire to be used in different R&D centers.• Propose & implement general design guideline for the design team to drive standard modules to be used in different products. (for e.g. Standard door panel design, Standard frame structure design & Standard lifting/feeding system design for wafer cartridge)• Propose ideas & business cases to localize different modules like the electrical module assembly, air preparation system & wafer cartridge lifting/feeding system.• Propose DFM/DFA ideas for new projects on the fabrication of parts or reduce assembly timing of modules.

R&D Mechanical Engineer• Design & product transfer of the Siplace SMT modules (Siplace Quad lane conveyor module) to be built in Singapore.• Working closely with the manufacturing department to build prototypes machines for evaluation & testing.• Working closely with parent R&D center in Germany to update on the issue & changes face during the proto-type building stage.• Supporting the qualification of the standard purchase parts & fabrication parts from local vendors.• Perform Engineering changes when the quality issues are rectified.

Engineer/Senior Engineer• Solve quality & assembly issues with both external vendors & in-house production department. Perform Engineering changes to implement the solutions.• Attend weekly meeting with customers to solve any issues, complaints & request from customers.• Lead & completed an upgrade project, UPH throughput improvement, by reducing the process timing, minor design change on parts to improve the speed of the robot movement & as well as coordinating the software changes to improve the speed of the robots & motors. • In the team to design & build new prototypes of test handlers upon customer request for higher throughput models.• In the team to integrate a vision & robotics system to customer’s requirements & specifications. Section Head• Promoted to Section Head for the department. Leading & managing a team of mechanical designers (6 senior & junior designers)• Projects management includes managing of vendors, working closely with customers, as well as my fellow colleagues, to deliver the finish goods on time.• Main point of contact with customers for new & existing technical enquires or issue face.• Attend new project proposal presentations, discussion & site visits with our main customer.• Support & maintenance of the design & manufacturing protocol, processes & documentation of our production of the test handler for customer’s periodic audit & checks. • Working closely with Sales department for the Conceptual design proposals & quotation of new projects (RFQ).• Path finding role on new technologies or processes for the next generation test handler.• Documentation, calculation & controlling of the budget & costing for each projects.
