Escambia County Public Safety

I receive, route, encode, and dispatch emergency calls. I dispatch for EMS and fire department. I am required to maintain certifications in American Heart Association CPR for Heathcare Professionals, National Academy Emergency Medical, and National Academy Fire Dispatch. I assist with training new employees and act as the alternate shift supervisor. I hold an APCO certification as a communications training officer.

Escambia County Public Safety

I work under the direction of the Emergency Communications Center (ECC) Manager and am responsible for the daily operation of the County's primary Public Safety Answering Point and ECC. I leads a team of up to six Emergency 9-1-1 Call-takers and two Emergency Dispatchers and relied upon as the knowledge and application expert for ECC operations during a shift. My position oversees the management of emergency 911 call-handling, resource management, and dispatch operations for Escambia County Fire Rescue and Escambia County EMS. We also serves as Escambia County's Warning Point. I work in closely with Emergency Management and the State Watch Office during periods of severe weather, major incidents and disasters. Heavy call loads require me to handle the overflow of my subordinates to receive, route, encode, and dispatch emergency calls. I am required to maintain certifications in American Heart Association CPR for Heathcare Professionals, National Academy Emergency Medical, and National Academy Fire Dispatch. I assist with training and coordinating Communications Training Officers. I hold an APCO certification as a Communications Training Officer Instructor.
