I have worked in the financial services arena for over 30 years, having started in the month of the instigation of the Financial Services Act in May 1988, and working as an IFA throughout. The original IFA business was established by my late father Ken Hovers in 1969, with the SSAS Pensioneer Trustee business following in 1978.I have a Masters in Financial Planning and Business Management; having achieved my MSc in 2017 at Manchester Metropolitan University. I am also a Chartered Financial Planner, with extensive knowledge of self invested pension schemes (both SSAS and SIPP) having acted as a Pensioneer Trustee pre Aday and now also as a Professional Trustee and Adviser to clients with Small Self Administered Schemes (SSAS). As well as Chartered Financial Planning status, I hold qualifications including G60 – Pensions Specialist,R01, R03,R04,R05, and AF3 - as well as the J10 discretionary investment management. In addition, I hold the Personal Finance Society’s J06 investment principles, markets and risk paper, as well as the Investment Management Certificate paper.
