I am proficient in the use of R statistical language, as well as this I am a committed researcher and familiar with a wide variety of statistical tests. I am able to adapt my approach depending on the research criteria as I have had to do whilst completing research in the field, most recently in Tanzania.Alongside active research I have learnt to compile reports and papers. Upon completing my BSc in zoology, I expanded my undergraduate research paper and was successful in getting it published in a peer reviewed journal, Mammal review, despite being in full-time employment. I have also completed my MSc whilst in full-time employment; this made time management crucial whilst allowing me to gain resilience to deal with my work load and occupation. My MSc research project necessitated liaising with and visiting museums to gain access to their collections for data collection. Effectively communicating with other academics and building relationships was crucial during this time. Working in the Sales industry has similarly given me useful experience in communicating with people and conveying information as well as my own opinions. In completing my MSc and my employment history working as an effective and supportive member of a team has been vital. In addition to the research I have already mentioned involving zoos and museums I have completed the Student Environmental and Enrichment course held at Knowsley Safari Park and accredited by the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Alongside this I have gained invaluable customer service experience. In my current role I work hard to accomplish sales targets and engage with customers in a friendly and personable manner in order to ensure they're experience is as positive as possible.
