(This profile is run by the UConn Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills and is for academic purposes only.)My interest in nutrition developed through my own personal experience as an athlete and my part-time job at Dairy Queen in high school. Both of these experiences allowed me to examine the way food serves as fuel for our bodies and how different nutritional choices can make a difference in our energy levels, sleep, stress, and overall health. My career goal is to become a nutritionist and work with athletes to educate them on how their food choices can play a role in their performance.Through my coursework in the sciences and on-campus activities like GoodFood4U and Nutrition Club, I have developed the analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary to succeed in this field. I am open to networking and learning about possible internship and job shadow opportunities in the fields of nutrition and health.
