For as long as I've been thinking about what I wanted to be in the future, my dad has been in management. Currently, he works at Presbyterian Healthcare Services as a director in IT applications, and for a long time, he has worked as a manager with Presbyterian. While my dad is far from perfect, I have always admired his job and how hard he works, which strongly influenced me to pursue my bachelor's in business with a concentration in Management Information Systems at the University of New Mexico, and my career in some form of management. On top of this degree, I will be attempting a dual degree in another undecided subject. I am a member of the honors college at UNM as well.Just like my dad, I've always been a very hard worker. I went to middle and high school at The Ask Academy, where I excelled to achieve Salutatorian of my class, the class of 2024. During my senior year, I was able to become one of the two presidents of the Dance Committee, which organized the school's dances such as prom and homecoming. In my senior year, I also received an award for Biomedical Leadership from the school for my work on creating a plan for a reduced lunch plan for lower-income students.I have always been passionate about learning and pushing myself academically and career-wise. I strive to be the best version of myself I can, which is why I am passionate about pushing myself so hard. I have a great passion for connecting with others and building relationships with those around me, no matter who they are. I also have a love for media, whether it be films, TV shows, music, or books, I enjoy all types of media. Sports are also a great passion of mine, both playing and watching. I am an avid rock climber and basketball player, and in the past I played soccer for 15 years, being a recreational co-ed team leader for the last 2 years.I love everything to do with challenging myself, and leading others, which is why I hope to start a career in management. I have always been a good leader wherever I've gone, and I have loved making meaningful connections in all the places I've been. I hope that I can take something I saw my dad doing at a young age and create a career in management like he did.
