I've just finished my MA-Media and Culture at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in the paradigm-shift of physical music becoming digital, and the social/cultural/political-economic implications of this shift. I've done qualitative research on the contemporary experience of music as an artform and the way the shift from physical to digital music implies a different use-value and experience. By using Walter Benjamin's theories on Aura, reproduction and historical determinism, I argue that music's social and political-economic history should be regarded as less linear and progressive than the industries would want us to believe. I've taken Spotify as the most recent form of musical reproduction, and this is also the main subject in the interviews i've had.I'm currently looking for new challenges in the fields of Journalism, Social Media, Editorial Work, and/or Audiovisual post-production.Don't hesitate to contact me when you're looking for someone that* is educated both creatively and academically.* has a passion for research, journalism, reporting, television, radio, and media in general.* is specialised in critical analysis of contemporary media phenomena, and thinking outside the box while developing them.* is always looking for the specific context, and not the dichotomy of true/false or right/wrong.* is skilled and experienced in:-freelance journalism / editorial work-radiohosting and production-interviews-social media-textual / discourse-analysis-music / media (post)production...and making great coffee!
