In addition to overseeing the administration, building preservation, program management, staff development, and strategic planning, the Executive Director serves as the chief mission and advancement officer to promote the Shrine and the inspirational story of its patroness, Saint Rita of Cascia.

While pursuing a master's degree as a full-time graduate student, Campus Ministry Interns (CMIs) live in first-year residence halls and develop opportunities for undergraduate students to grow holistically through participation in liturgy, service, social justice work, retreats, and shared reflection.

The Director of Campus Ministry is responsible for the spiritual formation of the students (1,000 young men) and adults within the St. Joseph's Preparatory School community (a Catholic, Jesuit, urban, college preparatory school). The director is entrusted to create and offer programs that foster the spiritual growth of the individual, which includes planning, directing, and implementing 17 student retreats, and 90+ liturgies per academic year.

The Catholic Campus Minister is the only full-time provider of Catholic spiritual, ministerial, and pastoral support for the students, faculty and staff at the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown. The Catholic Campus Minister is responsible for Catholic catechesis, liturgy preparation, retreats, fellowship, evangelization, stewardship, as well as service and social justice initiatives.

The Student Ministers provide spiritual and pastoral counseling for their peers on a regular basis. They collaborate with other student leaders and professional staff to provide weekly programs for fellowship (involving over 2,600 participants in 28 diverse programs per academic year), in addition to building intentional Christian communities on campus (in my case, with 23 different people over the course of 3 years).
