I developed a passion for change management a few years ago – specifically the people aspects – and that’s where my career focus has been since, working within the largest global Pharmacy, Health, Wellness & Beauty enterprise.Spending four years working with Walgreens in the US enabled me to take my interest and experience to new heights – working globally and cross-divisionally to devise and execute the people and change strategy for a major Retail Transformation Programme (SAP enabled) – to deliver process efficiency, cash savings and profit growth within the WBA organisation.How do you prepare a large organisation to implement major changes that impact the way people do their jobs? How do you manage key stakeholders, communicate and engage with over 3000 external suppliers, 9500 stores and all Support Office colleagues ahead of a national roll-out program across all US states? How do you motivate and sustain engagement within a global project team of over 500 people in a multi-year program? As the people and change lead for Walgreens that was my role working in partnership with external consultants. My career path started at the sharp end - buying, developing and marketing products for Boots and associated companies. So I have a solid commercial grounding. Increasing involvement in change projects - initially as a subject matter expert applying my operational business knowledge - quickly evolved into regular project roles working with business teams to lead, develop, plan, enable and deliver significant strategic change activities including. My interest has extended externally - I supported Engage for Success for a number of years, a voluntary movement promoting employee engagement as a better way to work (a key aspect of any business change activity).     Reporting directly to HR Director on a range of internal and external projects in the areas of business transformation, reputation management and risk- Implemented Pensions Auto-Enrolment. Working on behalf of the Boots Group in the UK I was responsible for developing and executing the phased plan for this major change project. Complied with new Government regulations. 23k employees enrolled across the 8 separate business entities- Led process to develop Boots Hearingcare strategy - joint venture between Boots and Sonova. Output was an agreed strategy and plan owned and driven by the partners contributing to significant growth in turnover over 2 years- Developed effectiveness of award-winning partnership between Boots and Macmillan which contributed more than £16m in fundraising, trained 2000 Pharmacists and 800 Beauty Advisors. I created and ran the governance process that holds both organisations to account for delivery.- Led the set-up of Engage for Success Foundation at Companies House working closely with the Board Trustees transforming a `movement` into a not-for-profit company and legal entity ahead of high-profile National launch
