Im a first-year Ph.D. student researching acoustic monitoring for marine carbon capture and storage (CSS) facilities. Areas my research potentially covers are; the acoustic behaviour of gaseous CO2 through the water column; optimising detection methodologies for gaseous CO2 in the water column using active and passive sonar; and the effectiveness of monitoring systems in situ.
